📋 About the Sets
As part of its ongoing effort to catch up with the rest of the world, Pokémon China is releasing Black Bolt and White Flare on November 6th — nearly identical to the English releases, printed in Simplified Chinese. Black Bolt carries the Zekrom-led “Black Thunder Rush” theme, and White Flare carries the Reshiram-led “White Flame Surge” theme. Buying them together is the natural way to collect this twin release.
🔑 The Chinese Exclusives: N’s Plan & Hilda SIRs
Here’s what makes the Chinese release essential for serious collectors. N’s Plan and Hilda will each receive a brand-new Special Illustration Rare that hasn’t released anywhere else in the world — and like most of China’s alternate artworks since 2022, these should remain Chinese exclusives.
Both are fan-favorite characters from the Black & White era. N commands one of the most devoted followings of any trainer in the franchise, and Hilda is a beloved protagonist whose cards consistently draw strong collector demand. A brand-new SIR for each — exclusive to Simplified Chinese — means artwork that exists in no English or Japanese set, with a permanently fixed population from day one. Opening both boxes together gives you the fullest shot at the complete Chinese-exclusive chase lineup.
